It's about time we start trying this fight! Though it is quite complicated so hopefully everyone could take some time to read about it before coming to raid.....

Here is the tankspot thread (with links to videos inside):

We got him to around 45% on Monday on the 3rd try. This fight was really fun and requires a decent amount of awareness.

Sorry for being a bad Abomination driver. :( I had read the guide and watched the video before the raid but it was trickier than I thought. Some tips here for Abomination drivers, so that you won't repeat my mistakes again.

1. Don't move unnecessarily! You don't need to move to the green/orange ooze to slow them down. Skill 2 (the slow debuff) has a very long range. Only move when you need to stack on green ooze target, or move to eat a new slime pool.

2. Don't eat too slowly! You need to spam skill 1 (eat slime) when eating slime pool. Try to finish one slime pool completely before going on to the other pool, otherwise all the unfinish pool will grow in size gradually and eventually becomes overwhelming.

3. Don't eat too fast! Early on it is possible to consume all the slime pool if you eat too fast and doesn't let the pool to grow. This causes problem because you need to eat to gain energy for casting the slow debuff (50 energy is needed).

If only we can practice it before coming to the actually raid...... :P

[edit] One more tips: abomination can die. Simply click the table again to get a new one.

I just wanted to mention that the reason we run raids is to win. Obviously, right? Well, when we're in the heat of the run and someone notices someone else not doing something correctly and then comments on it (in possibly not the most politically correct fashion) then please...please...try to always take it as constructive criticism.

I bring this up in this thread because I felt that my comments about the running of the abomination, upon reflection, were not presented in the best manner...and I wanted to apologize to Wakeman for it. Its just cause I want to win and Im trying to simply be helpful.

Dont feel like you have to get on the threads and apologize for not doing him right. That dood is very tricky.

What I do appreciate is posting a thread about the do's and dont's.

Thanks bro!

-Z

Hey Z, don't be silly! I can't remember you said anything in bad manner. It was a fun raid. Just look around here and you will see I post this kind of post-raid reflection frequently, especially for progression fights! In fact, I hope everyone can post more here too to help improve our tactic for boss fights. :D
